People how I went from being a Chiropractor to offering both deep tissue massage and acupuncture alongside Psychotherapy and Counselling. The short answer is: because I am passionate about helping people feel at home in their bodies again.
The longer answer is a bit of an origin story.
From Italy to Norwich: My Journey Into Bodywork
Around 15 years ago, I moved from Italy to the UK to study Chiropractic. I went on to work as a Chiropractor for 10 years, supporting people with pain, injuries, and a wide range of physical issues. During that time, I developed a strong appreciation for the link between mind and body, which was reinforced by my studies in Yoga and Counselling.
Although my relationship with the chiropractic profession became complicated over time, one thing always stayed true: I love working with people’s bodies. That foundation continues to shape the mind–body approach I bring to my work today, offering massage and acupuncture in the outskirts of Norwich.
When Life Changed: Stepping Back, Then Finding a New Way Forward
I had to stop practising chiropractic when I was very pregnant, as I couldn’t offer the standard of care I believe my clients deserve. After my son was born, I initially returned to working solely as a counsellor. That work remains incredibly meaningful, and I found myself missing the hands-on, physical side of supporting people’s wellbeing.
That’s where the idea of offering massage and acupuncture came back into my life.
Why Deep Tissue Massage and Acupuncture?
Offering deep tissue massage and acupuncture allows me to reconnect with my roots in bodywork in a slower, holistic format. These treatments give me the opportunity to support people not just with physical tension or pain, but also with how stress, emotions, and life experiences live in the body, bridging the gap that often exists between the wellbeing of body and mind.
Deep tissue massage can help release long-held tension, support recovery from physical strain, and improve overall mobility. Acupuncture, in the form of dry needling, offers an opportunity to calm the nervous system and easing pain alongside the down-regulating effects of touch.
Together, these approaches fit beautifully with my mind–body perspective: helping people feel more comfortable, grounded, and at ease in themselves.
A Slower, More Intentional Way of Working
At the moment, I’m enjoying the slower pace of this work. While I’m still reflecting on how and when I might return to chiropractic practice in the future, offering massage therapy and acupuncture feels like the right way to support people right now—without rushing the process.
If you’re looking for a mind-body therapist in Norwich who works with care, presence, and a whole-person approach, I’d love to welcome you.
