Walk and Talk Therapy in Norwich
What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

In addition to online or in person sessions, I offer the option or taking our sessions
outside in nature, walking as we explore your issues and feelings.
Walk and talk therapy combines the mental benefits of therapy with the physical
advantages of movement.
- Increased Comfort and Relaxation: The act of walking in a natural environment can help reduce anxiety and increase comfort, making it easier for you to open up.
- Enhanced Mental Clarity: Physical activity, especially in nature, like walking can boost blood flow to the brain, helping improve focus, cognitive function, and emotional clarity during sessions.
- Stress Reduction: outdoor exercise releases endorphins, which can naturally reduce stress and improve mood, helping you feel more relaxed and less overwhelmed.
- Improved Physical Health: Regular physical movement supports overall well- being, contributing to improved mental health by addressing the mind-body connection.
- Break from Traditional Therapy Setting: The change of environment from a therapist’s office to an outdoor setting can be refreshing and stimulating, fostering a more dynamic therapeutic experience. It can encourage a more informal, conversational approach to therapy, which may lead to deeper conversations.
- Increased Creativity and Insight: Movement has been shown to boost creativity and problem-solving, often leading to new insights and breakthroughs during therapy.
- Improved Relationship with Nature: Walking in nature can enhance feelings of connection to the environment, promoting mindfulness and grounding.
